After giving birth to my first son, my midwife saw that he had a tongue tie. We immediately called Alden Bridge Pediatric Dentistry to get an evaluation done on his second day of life. His latch was off and it was very painful trying to feed him. We met Kellye at our appointment where she listened and really embraced us with such warmth and encouragement during these very tender and uncertain moments. My son’s tongue tie was revised and we left confident of what we needed to do to have a successful journey of breastfeeding. In the weeks and months ahead I had access to Kellye and her wealth of knowledge for continual follow-up. Now we are a year and a half into our breastfeeding journey and I’m certain this would have been a much harder task not having the support and wisdom of Kellye from Milk & Mom.
WHAT WOULD YOU TELL OTHER MOMS WHO ARE EXPERIENCING DIFFICULTY OR STRESS IN THEIR NURSING JOURNEY?
Having support is so important during these early seasons of motherhood. You are individually and wonderfully equipped to provide everything that your baby needs but you also need support and nurturing yourself, as you are sacrificing and giving so much of who you are to your precious baby.
